BlueWave Charity Auction: Look what we achieved together

Sometimes a nationwide celebration brings people together in ways you don’t expect.
When Curaçao qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the excitement could be felt across the entire island. BlueWave became part of that national movement, bringing Curaçao together to celebrate an achievement that made the whole island proud.
At Tugboat Beach, we wanted to contribute in our own way. And since art is such a big part of who we are, we decided to combine that Curaçao pride with something that could give back to the island.
That’s how our BlueWave Charity Auction came together.
21 artworks and 7 days of bidding
Our in-house artist Frankie got to work and created 21 hand-painted FrankArt pieces especially for the auction. Each one was made by hand, released as part of a limited edition and came with its own Certificate of Authenticity.

the BlueWave Charity Auction.
Then it was time to see what would happen.
For seven days, we auctioned three pieces every day. Businesses started bidding, people joined in, the artworks found new homes and slowly but surely we watched the total grow.
By the end of the auction, together we had raised an amazing XCG 7,586 for Museo di Kòrsou.

We couldn’t have been happier with that result.
What started as Tugboat Beach’s contribution to BlueWave had turned into a real community effort, with so many people helping us turn Curaçao’s football celebration into something with a lasting impact.
And there was more...
The money raised wasn’t the only thing we were able to bring to Museo di Kòrsou.
Curaçao’s qualification for the World Cup is now part of our island’s history. And what better place to preserve a piece of that history than the museum?
Thanks to an initiative by Tugboat Beach and the valued support of Corendon, a collection of signed Curaçao national football team jerseys was donated to Museo di Kòrsou.

We think that makes the story even more special.
Long after the final whistle, these jerseys will still tell part of the story of the team that made Curaçao football history. They will become part of the museum’s collection, where residents and visitors can see them for years to come.
In the end, our contribution to BlueWave managed to bring together football, art and Curaçao’s cultural heritage and we couldn’t have asked for a better result!
We definitely didn’t do this alone
One of the best things about the auction was seeing how many people and businesses wanted to be part of it.
A big thank you goes to Frankie, who created all 21 pieces, and of course to everyone who followed the auction, shared it, placed a bid or took one of the artworks home.
We also received fantastic support from Dammers Group, Buffalo Air, Forza Sports Group, Mondhygiëniste Praktijk Cardozo, Taxi RC Service, GOP Uniform, Ona's Pastechis, Jaclyn's, Feel Good Supplements and L2 Design Studio.
Every bid, share and contribution helped us get there.
And seeing the cheque handed over to Museo di Kòrsou made all that effort more than worth it.
A result we can all be proud of
BlueWave started with something the entire island could celebrate: Curaçao making football history. We’re incredibly happy that Tugboat Beach, together with our community, Corendon and Museo di Kòrsou, was able to turn some of that excitement into something that will remain on the island long after the celebrations are over.
21 pieces of art. Seven days of bidding. XCG 7,586 for Museo di Kòrsou. And a piece of Curaçao football history preserved for the future.
Now that’s something to be proud of 💙
